**Join Our Dynamic Mother/Baby Nursing Team!** **Job Description:** - Shift: 7P-7A - Location: Overland Park, KS - Unit Name: Post Partum - Patient Capacity: 26 Beds - Patient Ratios: 6-8 patients **Unit Highlights:** - Work in a supportive environment with RNs - Limited use of unit secretaries; PCT assistance for short staffing - Equipped with vital machines, glucometers, and post-partum supplies **Documentation:** - Systems: CPN, Meditech **Scheduling Requirements:** - Flexible scheduling with 2 hard-to-fill shifts (Mon/Fri) - 1 full weekend every 3rd week plus 1 additional weekend **On-Call Requirements:** - None **Floating Policy:** - Within women’s services, unless cross-trained to pediatrics or NICU **Patient Experience Focus:** - Care for women of childbearing age and newborns - Responsibilities include attending births, post-partum care, LDRP, well-baby nursery, and recovery **Candidate Requirements:** - Must have a degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred) - Ability to recognize workflows, processes, and policies within the post-partum unit - Skills in assessing and managing risk factors like sepsis, DVT, and pain management - Proficient in providing discharge education and prioritizing patient care **Certifications Required:** - BLS - NRP **Dress Code:** - Black scrub pants - Caribbean blue scrub top, vest, or jacket **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
