Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Mother/Baby nursing experience required
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BLS and NRP required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience caring for patients receiving Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery preferred
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced postpartum unit and work comfortably with couplets

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a couplet-care setting
• Monitor maternal and newborn conditions, including recovery after delivery
• Support patients receiving Magnesium Sulfate and other postpartum interventions
• Assist with routine newborn care and unit procedures, including circumcisions as assigned
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and provide support to Labor & Delivery and NICU as needed
• Educate and reassure families while promoting safe, positive outcomes for mother and baby
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols for quality patient care
• Contribute as a team player who enjoys mentoring and supporting others
