Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Post-Acute Skilled Nursing Rehab Unit on night shift, requiring at least one year of specialty experience and recent EPIC charting experience.

Details

  • Post-Acute Care unit within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility
  • Patient population age 60+ requiring skilled nursing rehab care
  • Nurse to patient ratio of 1:14 with ancillary CNA/LNA/PCT support
  • Uses EPIC for documentation and medication administration
  • Utilizes IV pumps as specialty equipment
  • Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, transports, nebulizer-to-inhaler conversions, and IV starts
  • 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
  • Schedule varies with no guaranteed days off or weekends unless specified in contract
  • Occasional or as-needed floating required to Long-Term Care and Memory Care units
  • Must work a minimum of every other weekend or as needed to meet unit demands

Requirements

  • Active VT or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required
  • EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Dementia capable care certification preferred
  • Reliable personal or rental vehicle required due to lack of public transportation in the area

Additional Information

  • Provide skilled nursing and rehabilitative care to post-acute patients
  • Must work 2 of the 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
  • No block scheduling permitted
  • Local candidates accepted
  • Radius-based pay tiers apply based on direct-line mileage: Local (50 miles or less), Radius (51-100 miles), Travel (101+ miles)
  • Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
