Description

American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist for a night shift sleep lab role requiring BLS, Epic experience, and RPGST, RST, or SDS certification.

Details

  • Sleep lab setting
  • Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
  • 3x12 hour shifts per week, 36 hours weekly

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a sleep medicine setting
  • Current BLS certification
  • One of the following certifications required: RPGST, RST, or SDS
  • ACLS preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • License required if applicable
  • Strong independent judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision

Additional Information

  • Perform routine and complex polysomnographic recordings and CPAP/BiPAP titrations
  • Educate patients on sleep studies, sleep apnea, and CPAP therapy prior to testing
  • Properly connect and disconnect patients from electrodes and monitoring equipment
  • Monitor patients throughout sleep studies and respond according to department policy
  • Administer CPAP/BiPAP therapy per department protocol
  • Adhere to department and hospital-wide policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate willingness to assist team members and maintain quality patient care
