Patient types include outpatient, pediatrics to geriatrics, and individuals with various sleep disorders. Patient ratio is typically 1:2, with infants or patients under age 6 at a 1:1 ratio. A rotation schedule includes weekends every other week with no call required. The uniform for the role consists of pewter scrubs, with specific requirements for t-shirt colors and jackets. Badges are to be worn visibly above the waist at all times. The technician must be confident and capable of assisting with ambulation and other basic patient care needs.
