The candidate will be responsible for identifying and diagnosing sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea and narcolepsy. The role requires proficiency in various monitoring techniques, such as End-Tidal CO2 and PSG scoring. Special skills in operating sleep equipment, including CPAP and BiPAP, are necessary. Expectations include maintaining a patient ratio of 2:1 during night shifts. Weekend shifts are required, with Friday night shifts extending into Saturday morning. Completion of the Oregon State Law & Rules Exam is necessary for licensure. The role is based in a short-term acute care facility with a focus on adult and geriatric patients. Applicants should have experience charting in Epic and be able to provide patient education. The successful candidate will have strong infection control practices and be capable of interpreting ECG and EEG readings. Special procedures will include administering home sleep tests and conducting Adult Multiple Sleep Latency Tests.
