Job Summary:
Polysomnographer position located in a sleep laboratory setting. This role involves performing sleep studies on patients aged 5 and up, utilizing specialized equipment, and working independently during overnight shifts. The position requires technical expertise and the ability to manage procedures efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, with weekends required but not rotational.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification via the BRPT; minimum of 2 years of sleep technician experience; comfortable working alone; current registration with the state of Minnesota if applicable; ability to obtain MN Net Study certification 2 weeks prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with EPIC and Natus Sleepworks; familiarity with sleep studies on patients aged 5 and up.
- Additional Information: Orientation lasts for 3 nights, with potential for fewer nights if less training is needed. The unit features a 4-bed sleep lab, and staff may float to other units or departments. The dress code is gray scrubs. All candidates should be local or within 80 miles of the facility, with client rates reduced by $8.00/hour for local candidates.
- Submission Requirements: License submission required. No trauma level specified. The care setting is acute, with a shift note of 3-12 hour nights.
