Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric ICU position requiring current PICU experience, an OH or Compact RN license, and willingness to float across units.
Details
- PICU setting within a children's hospital
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
- 8-week contract length
- Float requirement to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active OH state or Compact RN license required, in hand
- BLS and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current PICU experience required
- Recent Level 1 trauma center experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Experience with ventilator management, central/arterial line care, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and emergency medication administration
- Experience with ICP monitoring preferred
- 2 supervisory references required, with at least one manager or supervisor titled reference at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients, including ventilator management and emergency medication administration
- Floating to other units is a standard expectation and point of emphasis for this facility
- Candidates with closer to 3 years of PICU experience will be considered for first-time travel assignments
- Cannot have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted for this role
- No RTO permitted during this contract
