Description

American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN with dual PICU and hematology/oncology experience for a 19-bed integrated pediatric unit requiring NH or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Work in a 19-bed integrated pediatric unit serving patients from birth through 18 years of age across 23 specialties
  • Unit includes 5 PICU beds, 7 step-down beds, 7 med-surg beds, and 1 treatment room
  • May be assigned to staff the critical care unit or as a hem/onc RN depending on census
  • Unit staffs 4 PICU RNs per shift
  • 12-hour PM-AM shifts (19:00-07:00) with D/N rotation or nights only
  • 48 weekly hours

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years
  • Dual experience in PICU and hematology/oncology nursing required
  • Extensive experience caring for pediatric cancer patients and familiarity with all pediatric cancers and therapies
  • Experience with Epic's Beacon platform

Additional Information

  • Care for a wide range of diagnoses, specialties, and varying patient acuity and complexity
  • Must be comfortable working within a smaller care team
  • Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
