Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Active permanent Ohio nursing license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring and specialized care for patients from pediatrics through young adults
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts as needed
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• One qualifying reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting
• Monitor and support patients with complex, high-acuity pediatric needs
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and assist with cardiac monitoring
• Provide care for patients receiving inotropic support and other advanced therapies
• Support epilepsy monitoring and other specialized PICU care requirements
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Adapt to rotating schedules while maintaining excellent patient care and professionalism
• Complete orientation modules and required assessments prior to independent assignment
