Join a leading acute-care hospital in Madison, WI, and be part of a remarkable multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing family-centered care to critically ill or injured children. This is a fantastic opportunity for a PICU Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a state-of-the-art 21-bed unit, known for its expert care and warm atmosphere that enhances a child's ability to heal.

As a PICU RN, you will:

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with various medical and surgical problems, including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO.
• Work 36 hours per week on a night shift schedule, with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Travelers' permanent address must be 50 miles from the assigned primary work site location.
• Pediatric ICU experience is required, along with solid experience in PICU and some CV ICU or cardiac step-down or general cardiac experience.
• Travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
• Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license from the permanent address state is required.
• BLS and PALS certifications must be through the American Heart Association only.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia experience is required; the traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to starting.

Parking permits are required through UW Transportation if parking onsite. Other transportation options are available, including bus, park & ride, and private parking.
