Join a leading acute-care hospital in Madison, WI, as a PICU Registered Nurse. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility known for its expert care and a warm, soothing atmosphere that enhances a child's ability to heal. As a member of our remarkable multidisciplinary team, you will provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families in a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center.

In this role, you will:

• Provide comprehensive care for patients admitted with a wide variety of medical and surgical problems, including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO.

Shift Details: This position requires 36 hours per week on a Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:30, with every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience: Pediatric ICU experience is required, with solid experience in PICU, and some CV ICU or cardiac step-down or general cardiac experience preferred. Travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
• Licensure and Certification: Candidates must possess a Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or a compact license from their permanent address state. BLS and PALS certifications must be through the American Heart Association only.
• Education: A baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred.
• Telemetry: Basic Arrhythmia experience is required. Travelers will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to starting (not applicable for clinic positions).

Travelers must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the assigned primary work site location. Floating may be required, as travelers are the first to be scheduled in multiple units depending on current staffing needs.
