Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit – Seattle, WA 98122
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Seattle, Washington
Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30), every other weekend required. Patient ratio of 2:1. 13-week assignment through January 18, 2027.
Highlights:
- Work in a 6-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit caring for critically ill infants, children, and adolescents
- Comprehensive orientation provided with 24-40 hours of onboarding to ensure success
- Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
- Opportunity to work with advanced critical care equipment and complex patient populations
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric critical care or PICU experience required
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- NRP and CRRT certifications preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Proficiency in ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP, chest tube care, tracheostomy care, procedural sedation, and RSI drugs
- Experience with blood product administration, central lines, PICC lines, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and wound vac management
- Ability to float to NICU or other units within skill set as needed
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays during assignment period
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
