Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position at a Level II Trauma children's hospital requiring PICU experience and PALS certification.

Details

• Work in the PICU/Pediatric ICU unit of a Level II Trauma children's hospital
• 15-bed unit staffed by 38 team members
• Day shift staffing includes Intensivist, RN, Desk Tech, RT, Dietary, and Case Management
• Night shift staffing includes Intensivist, RN, and RT
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Uses general cardiac/respiratory (CR) monitoring equipment
• EMR system is Meditech / CPN
• Performs typical procedures including IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
• 13-week assignment with a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift schedule

Requirements

• Active KS or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PICU RN experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• CRRT experience preferred
• APHON certification preferred
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment
• Ideal candidates work well under pressure and prioritize patient care experience
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
