**Join Our Dynamic Pediatric CVICU Team!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Overview:** - Located on the 4th Floor of MCH, our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a vibrant and collaborative environment. - 24-bed unit with a dedicated team of 40 staff members. - **Staffing Structure:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs (varies with census), 1 Unit Clerk. - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs (varies with census), 1 Unit Clerk. - **Patient Ratios:** - 2:1 for standard cases. - 1:1 for higher acuity cases. - 3:1 for lower acuity or step-down patients. - **Equipment Used:** - Vents, drips, chest tubes, central lines, syringe pumps, trachs, and gastro tubes. - EMR system: Meditech. - **Key Qualifications:** - **Must-Have Experience:** - Intubated and ventilated patients. - ICU level of care (all body systems). - **Preferred Skills:** - ECMO experience (patient care, not pump operation). - Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience. - **Procedures Performed:** - Central line and chest tube placements. - Sedation, lumbar puncture, and intubation. - **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - Flexible to change. - Strong communication skills with medical teams. - Friendly and positive attitude. - **Certifications Required:** - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). - **Floating Areas:** - All children's units and NICU (PIMC, PSRG, Pediatric Hemonc, ER for inpatient holds, PCICU). - **Dress Code:** - Navy blue scrubs only (no t-shirts allowed). - **Scheduling:** - Every other weekend requirement. --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
