Key Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Provide direct patient care to residents in a skilled nursing facility setting
• Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and responses to therapy accurately and in a timely manner
• Communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and progress
• Assist in educating patients and family members on home exercise programs and therapeutic techniques

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Tennessee
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting
• Familiarity with Medicare documentation requirements and skilled nursing regulations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
