Key Responsibilities
- Implement components of patient care plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist patients of all ages with stretching, exercise, and balance training techniques
- Obtain and document data related to treatments provided and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary
- Communicate with patients and families to identify and teach appropriate at-home therapy techniques
- Safely transfer and assist patients moving from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area
- Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate paperwork
Required Qualifications
- Active Missouri PTA License required
- BLS Certification required
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehab experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with patients across a broad age range, including geriatric populations
- Familiarity with skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility workflows and documentation
