Key Responsibilities
- Implement components of patient care plans and obtain data related to treatments provided
- Assist the Physical Therapist in the treatment of individuals across all age groups
- Help patients perform stretching, exercise, and balance training techniques
- Communicate with patients' families to identify appropriate at-home care techniques
- Safely transfer and transport patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area
- Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in Missouri
- Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience collaborating with Physical Therapists to modify and adjust patient care plans
- Familiarity with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment
