    Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Long Term Care

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist
    • Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
    • Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans accordingly
    • Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
    • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings as required
    • Provide consultation and education to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
    • Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience
    • Long Term Care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience
    • Adherence to APTA standards, state practice acts, code of conduct, and professional ethics
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with Medicare A, Medicare B, and Managed Care patient populations
    • Familiarity with productivity standards in a long term care or skilled nursing environment
    • Experience supervising or supporting PTA students under Physical Therapist guidance
