Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist
- Evaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
- Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
- Instruct patients, families, and caregivers, providing clinical support as needed
- Monitor and document patient response to treatment interventions
- Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
- Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Ability to follow clinical direction from a licensed Physical Therapist
- Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and therapeutic exercises
