    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist
    • Evaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
    • Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
    • Instruct patients, families, and caregivers, and provide clinical support as needed
    • Monitor and document patient response to treatment interventions
    • Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations
    Required Qualifications
    • Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education)
    • Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
    • Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Alabama
    • Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
    • Effective communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
    • Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and therapeutic exercises
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
    • Demonstrated empathy and patience when working with residents of varying needs
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
