Key Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings, and support student supervision under Physical Therapist guidance

Required Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma PTA license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required (new graduates with Level II clinical experience may be considered)
• Long Term Care (LTC) or rehabilitation experience required
• Adherence to APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience utilizing evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems in a rehabilitation or LTC setting
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary health care teams on patient care planning and discharge summaries
