Key Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy treatments to residents under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and therapist direction
- Document patient progress, treatment notes, and updates in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team regarding patient status
- Support residents in achieving functional goals related to mobility, strength, and activities of daily living
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Tennessee
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
- Familiarity with Medicare documentation requirements and MDS processes
- Experience with geriatric patient populations
