Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatment to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement established treatment plans and document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist in the assessment of patient functional abilities and progress toward therapy goals
- Communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding patient status
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, credentialing requirements, and applicable state regulations
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license required; compact license accepted at start but permanent Texas licensure must be obtained promptly
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Must meet contract credentialing and quality assurance requirements prior to assignment start
- Candidates who have worked permanently or PRN at this facility within the last year are not eligible for this assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel or contract therapy experience
- Strong documentation and communication skills in an outpatient environment
