Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing patient treatment plans within an outpatient therapy setting
- Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions and exercises as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress, updating records in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with the supervising PT and care team regarding patient status and any changes in condition
- Maintain a safe and organized treatment environment in compliance with applicable standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required; compact license accepted at start but permanent Texas licensure must be obtained promptly
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Must meet credentialing and contract QA requirements prior to assignment start
- Candidates who have worked in a permanent or PRN capacity at this facility within the past year are not eligible for this assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a high-volume outpatient rehabilitation environment
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Ability to adapt quickly to facility-specific workflows and protocols
