    Contract | 13 Weeks with Option to Extend | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Days | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the supervising Physical Therapist, including posture training, strengthening exercise, endurance/cardiac training, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, muscle lengthening, pain relief, and functional skills training.
    • Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices such as canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs; demonstrate proper guarding techniques and safety awareness.
    • Administer therapeutic modalities including whirlpools, hot/cold packs, paraffin bath, ultrasound, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, TNS/respond, and therapeutic pool treatments.
    • Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene as necessary; document patient progress, response to treatment, and patient/family education in a timely manner.
    • Maintain a safe, clean treatment environment; adhere to infection control guidelines, safety policies, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, participate in team conferences, and serve as a resource to other disciplines regarding therapy and projected treatment goals.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to practice in the state of Georgia
    • New graduates are welcome to apply
    • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in an outpatient setting
    • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and infection control protocols
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service-oriented approach toward patients, visitors, and staff
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
    • Familiarity with a broad range of therapeutic modalities and assistive devices
    • Experience documenting patient progress within an electronic medical records system
