Key Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding patient status and plan of care updates
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients throughout the course of treatment
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Michigan (permanent state license required)
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Ability to meet credentialing and contract quality assurance requirements prior to assignment start
- Completion of all required documentation as part of the onboarding and clearance process
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume outpatient therapy environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
