    Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday with 2 evenings until 6:00 PM | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the supervising Physical Therapist, including posture training, strengthening exercise, endurance/cardiac training, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, muscle lengthening, pain relief, and functional skills training.
    • Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices such as canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs; demonstrate proper guarding techniques and safety awareness.
    • Administer therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, iontophoresis, hot/cold packs, whirlpools, paraffin bath, fluidotherapy, and TENS units; monitor patient response and intervene as necessary.
    • Document patient progress, response to treatment, and patient and family education in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control guidelines, safe patient handling practices, and all facility safety policies; report equipment malfunctions or hazards promptly.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, participate in team conferences, and serve as a resource regarding therapy administered and projected treatment goals.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to practice in the state of Georgia
    • Demonstrated knowledge of therapeutic interventions and modalities applicable to outpatient physical therapy
    • Ability to adhere to all clinic policies, safety protocols, and infection control guidelines
    • Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain accurate patient records
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
    • Experience with gait training, assistive device instruction, and functional skills training
    • Demonstrated customer service orientation with patients, visitors, and interdisciplinary staff
