Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outpatient orthopedic physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, targeting a productivity expectation of 90% and 55+ visits per week
- Manage a caseload of 12+ patient visits per day, with appointments scheduled every 30 minutes and an average treatment time of 60 minutes
- Treat a diverse patient population including older adults, post-operative patients, general orthopedic patients, adolescents, and sports medicine patients across a broad range of diagnoses
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation using the NextGen documentation system, supported by a purpose-built AI documentation scribe tool
- Collaborate with a supportive clinic team including Physical Therapists, a Rehab Aide, and a Patient Experience Coordinator
- Float to additional clinic locations as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Virginia
- Ability to meet productivity expectations of 90% and 55+ visits per week
- Proficiency or willingness to learn the NextGen documentation system
- Ability to work a 5x8 day schedule within clinic hours of Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 1+ year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions including post-operative care, sports medicine, and general musculoskeletal diagnoses
