Key Responsibilities
Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Physical Therapist
Evaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
Monitor patient response to treatment interventions
Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations
Required Qualifications
Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Certification through the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
Active and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation requirements
