Key Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments to residents under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and therapy goals
• Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and relevant clinical notes in a timely and accurate manner
• Communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and progress
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents throughout the course of treatment

Required Qualifications

• Active PTA license in the state of Tennessee (or eligibility for licensure)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with geriatric populations
