    Key Responsibilities
    • Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the supervising Physical Therapist, including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, and functional skills training.
    • Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices such as canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs, demonstrating proper guarding techniques and safety awareness.
    • Administer therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, hot/cold packs, whirlpools, paraffin bath, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, and TENS units.
    • Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene as necessary, documenting patient progress, response to treatment, and patient and family education.
    • Instruct patients and families in proper body mechanics and safe use of prescribed equipment.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines, participate in team conferences, and adhere to all clinic safety, infection control, and compliance policies.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to practice in the state of Georgia.
    • Experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
    • Proficiency in applying therapeutic modalities and implementing PT-directed treatment plans.
    • Knowledge of safe patient handling practices, infection control protocols, and workplace safety standards.
    • Strong documentation skills with the ability to accurately record patient progress and treatment responses.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with gait training, assistive device instruction, and community re-entry programming.
    • Familiarity with therapeutic pool and aquatic therapy modalities.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary care teams.
