Key Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized patient care plans in accordance with therapy goals
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and home care techniques
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Minnesota or ability to obtain prior to start
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with geriatric patient populations
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation systems
