Key Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional mobility training
- Document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe functional activities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient goals and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Illinois or eligibility for licensure
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a contract or travel therapy setting
- Strong documentation and communication skills
