Key Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
• Provide therapeutic interventions including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe functional activities
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Illinois
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Ability to work 5 days per week with expected hours of approximately 32 hours/week

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a similar care setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients and interdisciplinary teams
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
