Key Responsibilities
Administer physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist
Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic activities
Monitor and document patient response to treatment interventions
Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations
Required Qualifications
Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the FSBPT
Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and therapeutic exercises
Empathy and patience when working with patients in a skilled or long-term care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility setting
Prior experience following and implementing physical therapist-directed plans of care
