Key Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and mobility training
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe movement techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of New Mexico or compact eligibility
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to commit to a 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a contract or travel therapy role
- Familiarity with a variety of patient populations and diagnoses
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and team interaction
