Physical Therapy Assistant

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 5x8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient care and implementing treatment plans
- Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility requirements
- Communicate effectively with the care team regarding patient status and treatment outcomes
- Maintain a safe and organized treatment environment in compliance with facility standards
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Virginia
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Ability to meet credentialing and contract quality assurance requirements prior to start
- Must obtain a permanent Virginia state license; compact licensure alone is not sufficient for this assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous experience working in a high-volume outpatient therapy environment
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
