Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing patient treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress and report changes in condition to the supervising therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and therapeutic techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of New Mexico or eligibility to obtain
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state or federal issued photo identification required for facility access
- Ability to wear a visible photo badge at all times while on site
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a contract or registry staffing capacity
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
