    Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

    Contract | Days | 5x8 Hours (8:00–16:30)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver skilled physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in their homes across a rural, geographically diverse service area
    • Complete approximately 6 patient visits per day
    • Collaborate with physical therapists and an interdisciplinary care team including nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and medical social work
    • Support patient recovery from illness, injury, surgery, and chronic disease while promoting independence and preventing hospitalizations
    • Document patient care and progress accurately and in a timely manner
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Virginia PTA license required to be in hand at time of submittal, or proof of compact license
    • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • Specialty experience within the last year required
    • One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
    • Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same base rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior home health experience, particularly in a rural or community-based setting
    • Experience working with geriatric populations and patients managing chronic disease
    • Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
