Key Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy assistant services within an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit
Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist to support patient recovery and functional goals
Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately using facility EMR systems (Cerner; transitioning to Epic)
May be required to float to med/surg and acute care units as needed
Adhere to facility dress code (light gray scrubs) and all departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Rhode Island (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA
Current CPR/BLS certification
Ability to begin assignment on or around September 28, 2026
Preferred Experience / Skills
Inpatient rehabilitation experience, including IRF, acute care, or skilled nursing facility settings
Familiarity with Cerner EMR; experience with or willingness to transition to Epic
Experience floating between units in a hospital environment
