We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to join an outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Maricopa, AZ and provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients across a range of conditions and functional abilities. In this role, you will work closely with supervising Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans, support patient progress, and promote optimal recovery outcomes. Key Responsibilities
• Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching, and functional mobility activities
• Apply modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation under PT supervision
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatment and report progress to the supervising PT
• Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs and safe movement techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support coordinated patient care and discharge planning
✅ Requirements
• Active AZ PTA license
• ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP, ASHA, CHT, ACP Training certifications
• 0+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience
• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage patients of varying ages and conditions
Pay
Pay range: $1,640 to $1,667 per week.
Travel Physical Therapy Assistant PTA package: up to $1,667/week (40 hours) = $39/hour taxable + up to $107/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules.
Local package: $41/hour fully taxable ($1,640/week for 40 hours).
Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
