Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 15-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, regain strength, restore function, and maximize independence.
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient recovery while working within a collaborative rehabilitation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding home exercise programs and safety techniques.
- Assist patients in improving strength, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
- Promote patient safety and compliance with rehabilitation plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current BLS Certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
- Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or outpatient experience preferred.
