Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 14-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, regain strength, restore function, and achieve rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home therapy programs.
- Document treatments, patient progress, and clinical observations accurately.
- Assist with gait training, balance activities, and strengthening exercises.
- Maintain a safe and supportive treatment environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current BLS Certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a rehabilitation or post-acute care setting.
- Previous skilled nursing, rehabilitation, outpatient, or healthcare experience preferred.
