Responsibilities
- Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist under supervision
- Implement non-complex active and passive manual therapies, including therapeutic massage, traction, heat, cold, water, and electrical modalities as prescribed
- Document patient status on a daily/weekly basis and submit clinical paperwork on time
- Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services
- Notify the Physical Therapist, Clinical Manager, or Branch/Clinical Director of equipment failures, supply shortages, staff or client changes, and other departmental updates
- Schedule clients and perform related office tasks while maintaining infection control and universal precautions
Requirements
- Current state license to practice Physical Therapy — Required
- Proof of current CPR certification — Required
- Current driver's license — Required
- Reliable transportation and insurance — Required
- 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant — Required
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant — Required
- Ability to work in a travel, locally oriented assignment and travel locally as needed
