Protouch Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel job in San Jose, California.

PTA, Physical Therapy Assistant, Inpatient and Home Health - 13 weeks
ASAP start
Locals or Travel; locals preferred.
Must have reliable personal transportation
Location: San Jose, CA
Minimum of 2 years of recent PTA rehab experience required.
Schedule: M-F 8a-4:30p. Combination of on-site and mobile depending on participants' needs. 1-2 days dedicated to home visits for home safety and therapy needs. PACE setting; PT will be involved in interdisciplinary meetings, participating in care coordination besides direct patient care. Must have reliable transportation. Travel PTA is expected to see 4-6 patients daily, including assessments, semi-annual assessments, and treatment, in addition to mandatory care conference meetings (IDT care conference in the PACE setting). There are 2 full-time PTs and 1 PTA on staff.
Required Skills
Required Skills & Experience: -Minimum of two (2) years' Physical Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population. -Physical Therapy Assistant knowledge and skills necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs. -Highly motivated, self-directed, able to execute tasks in a quickly changing environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations. -Excellent clinical, organizational and communication skills in settings with seniors, their families and interdisciplinary team members. -Excellent organizational and communication skills. -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. -Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. -Experience and competency working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. -Commitment to unlocking the full potential of our most vulnerable seniors.
Required Education:
Required Education: -Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
-The qualifying Physical Therapy Assistant Degree earned outside of the US must be evaluated to the US equivalent of a Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-Valid California Physical Therapy Assistant License
-BLS through AHA
Protouch Staffing Job ID #PROTOUCHEXT-91529. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
