Description:
The Physical Therapist provides evidence-based evaluation and treatment to support mobility, strength, motor development, and functional independence.
The PT collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and develops individualized treatment plans.
The PT ensures services align with licensing standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct PT evaluations to assess gross motor skills, mobility, balance, strength, and functional movement patterns.
Develop treatment plans that create individualized therapy plans and progress benchmarks.
Provide direct and consultative services in individual, group, classroom-embedded, or clinic-based formats.
Recommend and support the use of mobility devices, orthotics, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
Collaborate with teachers, OTs, SLPs, nurses, psychologists, and families to support functional outcomes.
Complete evaluation reports, progress notes, treatment plans, and documentation in compliance with standards.
Promote safe movement, accessibility, and participation across all environments.
Required Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapy License.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Knowledge of IDEA and administrative rules related to educational roles.
Ability to travel between sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in educational settings or outpatient clinics.
Training in pediatric motor development, gait analysis, or adaptive equipment.
Familiarity with trauma-informed and inclusive practices.
Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
