Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: - Duration: Direct Hire Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm / Mon - Fri Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience License: Valid State Licensure or Temporary Letter of Authorization to practice Physical Therapy Certifications: Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy Must-Have: Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Description: Provides clinical patient care by initiating and administering appropriate treatment. Progresses patient treatment as appropriate. Carries patient load that reflects productivity standards. Evaluates patients accurately. Plans appropriate treatment. Sets and meets functional goals. Revises and progresses treatment program as goals are met. Provides documentation by maintaining appropriate treatment records. Completes accurate daily patient charges. Completes patient records in a timely manner. Accurately reflects in patient charges the time spent and procedures performed, as well as equipment used. Maintains technical expertise through attendance and participation in continuing education activities. Participates in departmental in-services and keeps abreast of technical advances. Attends scheduled in-services and departmental meetings regularly. Provides instruction to patients and/or family members, as well as other healthcare providers. Follows care path guidelines for patient and family education and documentation of home programs. Follows set guidelines for daily operations and assists with daily responsibilities as appropriate. Schedules and prioritizes daily work assignments. Delegates patients to support personnel as appropriate. Assists with observers, volunteers, and students as requested. Assists with training of new employees. Carries out non-routine procedures under constantly changing conditions. Coordinates activities of others without direct supervision. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Collaborates with internal and external customers. Engages with other healthcare professionals and staff.
