    Key Responsibilities
    • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop individualized treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and planning for continuing services
    • Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs, demonstrating flexibility in caseload management and ensuring continuity of the plan of care
    • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
    • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
    • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory agency requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Texas
    • Demonstrated competency in performing job functions in accordance with the population served
    • Ability to ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
    • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards, including safe patient handling, infection control, and hazard reporting
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
    • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
    • Experience mentoring or supervising PT students
    • Active involvement in professional organizations or continuing education beyond minimum requirements
