Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory agency requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while actively pursuing professional development through continuing education and professional activities
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
Experience in orthopedics
Ability to complete thorough clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and professional codes of conduct
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality improvement initiatives
Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
